When I was a child, I used to get into my parents' book shelves, and opened up very thick heavy books that were about museums and the exhibitions. I grew up in a small town in Japan. I never had a chance to actually visit any of the museums at that time, but I remember I used to be lost myself in the pictures of those paintings. I still vividly remember some of the paintings although I forgot a lot of artists' names... (Shame on me!)
My favorite places to get lost were Salvador Dali's paintings, especially "Melting Clocks". I lost myself in it for hours like Alice in the wonderland. It was like looking into the window and sucked into the other side of the window before you know it. I still love to see other artists' paintings and get lost in them. Now I can also create my own little wonderlands and hopefullhy many people will enjoy being lost in them.
